The Board

The day-to-day operations of Kannunvalajat ry are decided and managed by the association’s board, which is elected annually. During the year, board members also serve on various faculty committees, participate in the activities of HYY's (The Student Union of the University of Helsinki) committees, and maintain relationships with different partners.

In addition to the membership, the board’s activities are overseen by the association’s inspector, who is appointed from the faculty staff. Currently, the inspector of Kannunvalajat is Docent and Vice Dean Juhana Aunesluoma. Supporting the board and ensuring continuity is the curator, who is elected every two years from among senior students or recent graduates. For the years 2024-2026, the curator of Kannunvalajat is Olli Castrén.

The framework for Kannunvalajat's activities is defined not only by its rules but also by a strategy renewed every few years and an annual action plan.
